Armin

2007, Croatian. Directed by Ognjen Sviličić.

What would you say to your father if he told you that he wanted you to turn out famous?

Kind-hearted, but slightly possesive, Ibro, takes his quiet, epileptic son Amir on a journey from their small, backwards Bosnian village to Zagreb, so that the latter can partake in an audition for the role in a big-budget drama about the role of the German UNPROFOR soldiers during the events of The Bosnian War. Ibro's overprotectiveness and constant praise start annoying Amir, putting their relationship and the latter's ptoential future acting career on the line.
