That Complicated Guy
1966, Japanese. Directed by Kōji Shima.
Saeko Morita, travelling to the US with her father, is instantly drawn to Joji Miyagi, an elegant NAL steward. She learns that he has a complicated past: suspected of espionage in London, he later worked as a well-digger and dockworker, and is now out on bail for illegal possession of a handgun and assault. Unknown to her, a mysterious powerful man got him into NAL so that he could work for a Southeast Asian country.
